HELMET AND LICENSE PLATE DETECTION

The incidence of fatal motorcycle crashes has increased rapidly in many countries over the
years, but the most important piece of motorcycle safety equipment is the helmet, which
many riders neglect to use. The primary purpose of a helmet is to protect the motorist's
head in the case of an accident. In the case of an accident, if the motorcycle's rider is not
utilizing it, it might be lethal. This study aims to develop a method for recognizing
motorbike riders who do not wear helmets. The system incorporates motorbike detection,
classification of helmet use vs. no helmet use, and motorbike registration plate
identification. CNN detects the motorcycle and decides whether or not the person riding it
is wearing a helmet.
